Omnium Employee Benefits

Support for EU, EEA and Swiss employees

We have been working with a number of employers, with employees who are EU, EEA or Swiss citizens, to support them and their families to protect their rights to stay in the UK by applying to the EU Settlement Scheme.

This support can be provided in various ways, including onsite workshops, covering the following key areas:

  • The potential impact of Brexit on pension performance.
  • Reciprocity arrangements for the State Pension across Europe.
  • The EU Settlement Scheme.
  • Options for European nationals.
  • Q & A session.

The above can also be combined with the option for EU employees to bring their passport and other ID to work and be given time to apply for Settled Status after the session. Employers can also help by providing details of salary payments over the five-year consecutive period.

We also provide template communications for employers to use, which offer information and guidance on applying for the EU Settlement Scheme.

Having spoken to a number of employees, there are many who have yet to apply as they are concerned they may be rejected even though they have been in the UK actively at work for more than five years.

Statistics from the House of Commons Library suggest the level of applications is rising, however, there are still about 250,000 people who have yet to do so.

Benefits to you and your employees

We have found that these employee workshops, assistance and communications result in a more informed, supported and, thus, reassured workforce.
